As you are probably aware the Saturday morning Tap classes are taking place at the Masonic Hall. Unfortunately, we have been advised that the first and last Saturdays (September 18th and December 18th) of this term, the hall is not available. Therefore please meet in the green room on those dates only and Ms. Lorraine will guide you to our dance space for that day.

Summer School 2010 was a blast – a most successful week! The students, as always, learnt copious amounts of dance vocabulary and exercise settings for the fall/winter RAD Ballet Exams. Thanks you to Miss Chantelle, Miss Heather and Miss Sarah for their dedication and hard work and thank you to the dancers for being there, making us smile and learning well!

10 week sessions – starting September 23rd and ending November 25th:
9.30am – 10.30am – Stretch and Jazz Movement Class for Adults – Come every Thursday and join Miss. Chantelle in a rewarding Stretch and Strengthening session following by simple Dance Movements.
$100 plus taxes to be paid at first lesson.
10.30am – 11am - “Mommy and Me” Dance Introduction for 2 – 3.5 year olds – an informal half hour of movement and music for the very little ones supported by their “Mom” (or dad or guardian!) Miss. Chantelle will introduce simple dance moves and inspiring music in a supportive environment.
$50 plus taxes to be paid at first lesson.

PERFORMING @ HOME VII
TECHNICAL REHEARSALS
Parents are responsible for their dancer in the audience during these tech rehearsals. No costumes or make up are required – hair and footwear should be as per the show. (Regular body suit etc. should be worn)
NO FOOD OR DRINK TO BE CONSUMED IN THE THEATRE – PLEASE GO TO THE GREEN ROOM OR STUDIO TO HAVE AFTER SCHOOL SNACK OR DINNER.
WE HOPE TO BE FINISHED BY 8PM AT EACH OF THE TWO TECHNICAL REHEARSALS.
TECH REHEARSAL FOR ACT 1 – THE UGLY DUCKLING

4PM START FOR ALL DANCERS
As per last year, we will start the rehearsal with the finale! Then we will move to the start of the Act. Once your dancer has completed her dance you may then leave.

4PM START FOR ALL DANCERS
Starting with the finale – then moving to the beginning of the Act. Dancers may leave after their number is completed.

Dressing Room helpers are responsible for students at this rehearsal. If you have not yet offered to assist in this area, and wish to do so (we are in need of several more volunteers) please contact Dulcie at adoxton@telus.net today! COSTUMES, MAKE-UP, HAIR, FOOTWEAR ETC. are all required at this rehearsal. NO PARENTS, FAMILY OR FRIENDS WILL BE PERMITTED INTO THE AUDIENCE AT THIS REHEARSAL.

With Spring Break almost over it is time to start planning for the fall!! Please click on the tab at the top of the page to view the proposed schedule for September 2010. To your left you will find links to the registration form as well as the fee structure for the coming season. (Remember, the Govt is requiring GST and HST this year). Complete your registration form clearly (email address is most important). Mail to Box 101, Mill Bay, B.C. V0R 2P0 with your registration fee before May 1st to receive the lowered rate of $15 registration fee (per family). Those received after May 1st will have a registration fee rate of $30. Act soon!
Summer School runs July 5th – 9th incl. Your ballet student will receive a letter in this regard at her/his first lesson back after the break. All summer school registrations must be in by May 1st 2010.
Regular classes resume Saturday March 20th – See you at the studio!

Modern and Tap exams for Prim, Gr 1, Gr 2, Gr 3 Mod, Bronze Jazz, Gr 1 Tap, and Inter Tap will take place on March 6th and 7th. These entries will be sent to England on Monday Feb 2nd.
