PERFORMING @ HOME XVI – SHOW TIME!
OUR ISLAND – All three shows will be identical except for SAPG dances
THIS SHOULD BE A VERY PLEASURABLE EXPERIENCE FOR THE DANCER, HELPERS AND FACULTY. WE ARE LOOKING FORWARD TO LETTING YOUR DANCERS SHINE – PLEASE TAKE THE TIME TO READ THE FOLLOWING:
TUESDAY MAY 21st Act 2 – (Modern and Tap) – Technical Rehearsal
All dancers to be in Costume with correct hairstyle (NO MAKE-UP)
All dancers to be ready at 4.30pm
All younger students to have their mum/dad/guardian with them in the audience
All dancers to watch the rehearsal
All dancers will have group photo taken on stage
Solo photos (if you wish) to take place in the lobby.
WEDNESDAY MAY 22nd
Act 1 – (Ballet) – Technical Rehearsal
As per Act Two………(please read above)
THURSDAY MAY 23rd
Full Dress Rehearsal of All both Acts
All dancers to be in costume with correct hairstyle (NO MAKE-UP)
Dancers in Act One to be ready at 4.30pm
Dancers in Act Two to be ready at 5.30pm
SAPG and NYC Dancers should have all costumes ready at 6.30pm – rehearsal order TBA.
NO DANCERS OR PARENTS IN THE AUDIENCE
PARENT VOLUNTEERS MUST BE IN ATTENDANCE – DANCERS MUST BE SIGNED OUT AFTER THE REHEARSAL IS OVER – ACT ONE WILL END APPROX 6PM AND ACT TWO APPROX 7PM.
Friday 24th 7pm and Saturday 25th 2pm and 7pm
All Dancers in Act one should arrive by 6.30pm (matinee 1.30pm) Costume, Hair and make-up required this day! Please do not arrive in your costume – change at the studio.
All Dancers in Act two should arrive by 7pm (matinee 2pm)
Parent volunteers should be responsible for their group until a parent has collected each and every student.
Students in Act one (only) are welcome to watch Act two with their family (assuming they have a ticket)! Visa versa also applies.
If you are not watching the show – you are able to take your student home as soon as the finale for their act is over. Act one finale is estimated to end at 8pm. (matinee 3pm)
